Enormous wagers coming in on Duke to win NCAA men’s basketball competition

Cash has been pouring in on Duke at sportsbooks around the country, including one bet that would pay more than $5 million assuming the Blue Devils send mentor Mike Krzyzewski out on a high note by coming out on top for the public title.

On Monday, a bettor in New Jersey put down a $300,000 bet on the Blue Devils to win everything with FanDuel at 17-1 chances. In the event that Duke wins, the bet would pay a net $5.1 million.

Also, the three biggest public title wagers at sportsbook PointsBet are on the Blue Devils, and, at Caesars Sportsbook, more wagers have been put on Duke to win the competition than have been put in some other group.

Krzyzewski, who has said he will resign after the season, is showing up in the NCAA competition, the most time.
