Russell Westbrook

Name: Russell Westbrook
School: UCLA
Position: PG/SG
Class: Sophomore
Height: 6'3"
Weight: 192
Strengths: Westbrook is a rare athlete who possesses an elite first-step and leaping ability.  He was one of the most improved players in college basketball last season, going from an after-thought as a freshman to an impact player as a sophomore.  He's one of the best defenders in the NCAA and has the ability to be a lock down guy at either guard spot.  Doesn't go looking to do to much on offense.  A real team guy who brings a ton of energy.
Weaknesses: While is ceiling across the board is enormous, he's no where near reaching any of them.  His assist to turnover ratio last season proves he can effectively run a team, but he's not what you'd consider a true point guard right now.  More of an up-tempo guy then a half-court player right now.  Only an average shooter and ball-handler at this point.
Overall: Westbrook is improving by leaps and bounds and his work ethic suggests that it will continue.  Right now it's hard to see what the finished product is going to look like.  Even if he never reaches his ceiling, he's still going to be a useful NBA player for a long time.
