Name:
Roy Hibbert |
 |
|
School:
Georgetown |
|
Position: C |
|
Class: Senior |
|
Height: 7'2" |
|
Weight: 272 |
|
Strengths: |
He's
huge. Hibbert has been one of the top post defenders and
shot blockers in college basketball during his time at
Georgetown. A hard worker who is willing to put in the
time to get better. Selfless and a real team guy.
Very high basketball intelligence. Goes 100% every moment
he's on the court and doesn't waste opportunities. Hibbert
is a better passer than you'd expect from a 7-2 player who isn't
named Zydrunas. Very soft hands. |
|
Weaknesses: |
Free
throw shooting percentages have dropped each of the last three
seasons. Not a great athlete, lacks quickness in the
paint. Wears down over the course of a game, a season,
etc. Didn't improve, in fact he may have taken a small
step backwards from his junior to senior years. Not a
loud, vocal player. You have to wonder if he can hold up
over the course of an 82-game season in the NBA. Has never
looked fluid on the offensive end. |
|
Overall:
|
Probably made a mistake in not coming out after his junior
season. Hibbert isn't a mystery to anyone, we know what
we'll get. He won't be able to play in an up-tempo
offense, but could do extremely well for a half-court team like
San Antonio, Detroit, etc... |
