Kevin Love

Name: Kevin Love
School: UCLA
Position: PF
Class: Freshman
Height: 6'9"
Weight: 255
Strengths: Love is a throwback who always plays hard and does so while maintaining an outstanding attitude.  He's a natural leader who teammates can rally behind.  He possesses excellent strength on the block and tends to get where he needs to be.  A productive player from the second he got to UCLA.  Plays with fire and intensity.  Displays outstanding touch around the basket.  A reliable jump shooter who needs to be guarded out to the NBA three point line.  Good rebounding ability and will be valuable to face-pace teams due to his ability to kick the ball ahead to ignite the fast break.
Weaknesses: Only a marginal athlete, although he's shed about 15 pounds in preparation for the draft and has improved in that area.  Not an explosive player, he's a guy who'll lay the ball in more often than he slams it through.  Has only average quickness and could have some trouble sticking with some of the more athletic power forwards in the NBA.
Overall: Love has the type of game that translates quickly to the NBA.  We have no doubt that he'll be a solid player for whoever drafts him.  The question is how much upside does he have?
